Hi there!
Thank you for coming to New Teach City! My name is Christina and I live and teach high school social studies in New York City. In the classroom, I specialize in teaching ICT classes using both my bachelors in social studies education and my master’s degree in adolescent special education.
I’m passionate about community building and empowering teenagers through challenging academic lessons and extracurricular activities.
In addition to teaching, I run a musical theater program that is primarily directed and creatively produced by students. Outside of the classroom, I love to travel and find amazing places to eat and drink around New York City.
I wanted to start New Teach City because I felt like the online teacher community often presents a view of teaching and the teaching life as either too picture-perfect or either depressingly negative. On New Teach City you will find resources that have been tested and refined in my classroom to make your life easier and blog posts to inspire your next lesson and your next Friday night.
